| Also Louis in family. The only insulin Mandy had was Caninsulin and it took 2 months to get her stabilised and by this time she was on 7iu's bid. About 5 months after her dx we started reducing her dose until she had a hypo in October 2000 and she has been insulin free since. | ||

Rhamu flew from my arms to Rainbow
Bridge at 1300 hours on 9 October 2001.
I knew that morning when I was photographing him that they would be the last pictures I took of my beloved furbaby. I can hardly bear to look at them - so thin and scruffy, but bravely lifting his head when I called to him.
I believe he died of congestive heart
failure - a complication of long term diabetes and chronic renal
failure. The support from so many members of the FDMB helped us to
accept our loss and we are at last (January 2002) looking to get a
couple of new kitties - they have yet to be born.

| Sara would do much better if I could jut give her tablets - she is easy to medicate this way. She hates the ear picks and injections but we are very new at this with her. I am lucky I am an RN and have experience with injections etc. but it is different on your beloved pet. | ||
