Ode to a Little White Kitten

Was it so long ago when you came to me,

so hungry and lonely, just a little thing?
I took you in and gave you a home,
in return you gave me your love.

The years have flown by much too fast
and now you are getting old.
However in my eyes you will always be
that sweet little kitten, my little blessing.
