IDEAS
Join a local pet loss support group - ask your vet if (s)he knows of local support groups, check this link at PetLoss, contact your local animal humane society (also see Gorb's links page for more local resource links).
Join an online pet loss support group - attend the scheduled chats at Gorbzilla, visit the forum at Gorb's board, utilize the resources at IMOM.org's pet loss mini-site, join in the candle ceremony at PetLoss, etc.
Do some reading - the books below are just a sampling of what's available to help you before and after the loss of your pet. Some of the books help you prepare yourself and your family before its time, some help you determine when it is *time*, and some are just good reads that let you know that you're not alone in your grief.
