Project Kat-rina

We've partnered with Project Halo (a rescue org in NC that Nora made us aware of) and have committed to helping them with medical supplies to support their search and rescue efforts.

Similar to our old STP (syringes and test strips and pee sticks - oh my!) campaign for IMOM, we've got a list of needed medical supplies we're asking you to send (if you can spare):

syringes
CRF needles
CRF IV sets
lactated ringers
oral meds (not expired)
test strips
ketodiastix
norvasc
tapazole
frontline/heartguard
pet first-aid kits
any other meds you can spare

We ask that you send to us and we'll consolidate shipments and send to PH on a weekly basis. Here's our mailing address:

If you'd like to send $ to PH directly to help them, paypal to projhalo@aol.com. If you'd like to send $ to Elvis and send him out shopping for supplies, paypal to gorbfund@gorbzilla.com. You can also send us store giftcards you may have sitting around and we can use that to pick up supplies (just check with us to make sure we have the store locally).

Again - you can send supplies (or checks) directly to PH (their address is on the website). We're asking that you send to us first so that we can consolidate and figure out what is missing most from donations and make up for it -as well as ease their administrative efforts and let them focus on the animals. But as long as they get the supplies that is what matters :)

We'd like to send our first shipment next week and will follow-up with weekly shipments for as long as needed. No firm end date on a Gorb project for a change LOL

Please note if you donate directly to PH your donation is tax-deductible. If you send supplies to us we cannot give you a receipt for tax purposes so keep that in mind if you typically write-off donations.
