Thanks to the work and planning Ellen, Laura and a handful of others contributed - the first ever Dallas/Ft. Worth Sugarcat Caregivers gathering was held on February 1st!  The day started with bad news as the Shuttle Columbia was destroyed returning to Earth over Texas.  Ellen and her team were super-diligent in making sure that transportation would still be unhindered in the Dallas area and the gang decided to go ahead with the outing.

Well boy are the glad they did!  Not only was it wonderful to meet face-to-face so many of the folks that had become online buddies, but it was a day for the nation to come together and who better to get-together than sugarcat caregivers.  The group also collected supplies including a handful of meters, syringes, lancets and more for IMOM's Diabetic Pets Fund  which is desperately in need of help these days!
